What’s the difference between kitset and assembled cabins?
Kitset cabins come flat-packed for you to build on-site, either on your own or with help from a builder. Assembled portable cabins arrive ready-built and are placed directly on your site. Both are fantastic options for adding extra room, depending on how involved you want to be. At Alpine Cabins, we’ll help you choose what works best for your setup.
Do you install cabins on-site?
Yes, at Alpine Cabins, we install assembled cabins by delivering them ready-built and placing them directly on your site. For kitset cabins, we provide everything you need to build it yourself or with help from a builder. If your site isn’t accessible by truck or crane, we also offer onsite builds — constructed directly at your location. Whether you’re setting up a granny flat, office space, or just need extra room, we’ll work with your site conditions to get it done right.
How does cabin financing work?
At Alpine Cabins, we offer cabin financing on all our cabins for sale through our trusted partner, MTF Finance. Whether you’re adding extra space to your house or setting up a standalone unit, you can spread the cost with regular payments. Approval is usually quick, and finance is available for standard, custom, and onsite-built cabins. It’s a simple way to get the cabin you need without paying everything upfront.
Can I rent a cabin instead of buying one?
Yes, at Alpine Cabins, we offer rental cabins in selected areas — currently available across Wellington, Kāpiti, and Wairarapa. Renting is a good option if you need extra space without committing to a full purchase.
