Yes, the hot tub is trailer-mounted and can be towed with a suitable vehicle. You’ll need a tow rating that can handle the full weight once filled, along with a standard tow ball. The trailer is simple to set up and works best on level ground. At Alpine Cabins, you’re welcome to pick it up from Upper Hutt if your vehicle is suitable for towing.
Can I use bath products or chemicals in the water?
At Alpine Cabins, we don’t recommend using bath products, soaps, or chemicals in the hot tub water. These can affect the wood, leave residue, and make cleaning more difficult. The water is clean and safe for both adults and children to enjoy as it is. If you’re hosting guests, it’s also a good idea to avoid bringing glass items near the tub to keep the soak safe for everyone.
How do I empty the hot tub after use?
You can empty the hot tub using the built-in drain valve, and a hose can be connected if you need to direct the water. Make sure the water is cool before draining to avoid any damage or safety issues. It’s a simple process that takes just a few minutes. Just note, the hot tub should be fully drained and cooled before pickup to keep things easy after your relaxation.
What’s the best way to keep the water warm overnight?
To keep the water warm overnight, make sure the lid is secured properly after use. Adding a few extra logs before you finish soaking can help hold the heat for longer. It also helps to place the tub in a sheltered spot, away from wind and rain. The more heat you trap, the warmer it’ll stay for the next use.
What’s the bond, and when is it refunded?
At Alpine Cabins, a $200 bond is required at the time of booking, whether you book online or directly with us. The bond helps cover any potential damage or extra cleaning if needed during the hire. Once the hot tub is returned in good condition, we process the refund promptly. Most bonds are refunded within a few days after pickup or return.
